TRPresents is the software used to display both media and, current transaction information to the customer at the point of sale. If you have a customer facing display (excluding dotmatrix displays), you can use TRPresents. If you are unsure please contact support.

TRPresents Files and Folders

The TRPresents files that can be configured by the user are located in the below paths:

  • C:\TR_SS\Movies\
    Contains movie based media.
  • C:\TR_SS\Slides\
Contains slides for image based slideshow. These must be in separate folders (See below “Configuration of media folder structure”)
  • C:\TR_SS\Config.txt
File Containing customer facing transaction information configuration
  • C:\TR_SS\Playlist.txt
File containing paths for media to be displayed

Configuration of Media Folder Structure

Images need to be located in a folder (playlist) within the following path:
C:\TR_SS\SLIDES\

For example you could have the below path:
C:\TR_SS\SLIDES\Example\Playlist1\Image001.jpg
C:\TR_SS\SLIDES\Example\Playlist1\Image002.jpg

And then another folder (playlist):
C:\TR_SS\SLIDES\Example\Playlist2\Image003.jpg
C:\TR_SS\SLIDES\Example\Playlist2\Image004.jpg

Likewise, .MOV files need to be located in the root of the below path however, a subfolder is not required:
C:\TR_SS\MOVIES\

An example would be as follows:
C:\TR_SS\MOVIES\Movie001.MOV
C:\TR_SS\MOVIES\Movie002.MOV

Configuring Displayed media

Any media that you wish to display must be referenced in the file “Playlist.txt”

The image playlists you have created must be referenced as below:
SLIDES|SubfolderName

For example:
SLIDES|Playlist1

You can display as many playlists as required:
SLIDES|Playlist1
SLIDES|Playlist2

Movies are referenced in a similar way however the specific file names need to be entered: MOVIE|Filename.MOV

For example:
MOVIE|Movie001.MOV

As with the playlists, you can display as many Movies as required:
MOVIE|Movie001.MOV
MOVIE|Movie002.MOV

A completed playlist.txt could look something like the below:

SLIDES|Playlist1
SLIDES|Playlist2
MOVIE|Movie001.MOV
MOVIE|Movie002.MOV

Configuring Customer Facing Transaction Information Format

Within C:\TR_SS\ there is a file called “Config.txt”.

Config.txt contains the information that makes up the customer facing transaction data:
This can be configured as required, giving you the ability to change everything from the welcome message to the font size to the gradient of the background.
All changes to fonts, colours and sizes must only be made if you have either backed up the file by copying it to a different path or if you are confident that the changes being made are correct and valid.
