The till settings profile facillity allows you to quickly change settings in bulk for a variety of use cases.

In this guide, the example we use is implementing a "Matchday Mode" for increasing the time before logout following a transaction; to rapidly serve customers, without the need to login after each transaction during periods of high footfall.

Configuring a Settings Profile

Up to three additional settings profiles can be configured as well as the base profile (General).

  1. Log in to the till as a user with permission to access the Supervisor Setup Menu (Supervisor Code > Menu > Setup Menu).
  2. Enter your supervisor menu code and press 'Menu'.

  3. Press 'Setup Menu' and head to the second page (Arrow pointing to the right in the top right corner of the page)

  4. Press 'Settings List'

  5. Enter the master security code. If you are unsure what this is, please contact a Touchretail Support Representative as the code is only accessible to approved users granted permission by the account holder.
    If the correct code is entered, the settings list screen will appear. The settings list screen contains all user-configurable settings on the till. If you are unsure about any of the settings or have a query about a feature, please contact Touchretail Support.
  6. Once in the settings list screen, choose a profile from the 3 available alternative profiles.

  7. Rename the profile to something that you can reference it by later - you will need to know which profile is which for swapping to and from different profiles.

  8. Change any settings that are required to be different to the original setup on the till. To do this, select the setting from the list and press 'Edit'.
    In the case of this example - we are changing the number of seconds after a transaction that the user stays logged in for, in order to prevent the need to log back in after each transaction at busy times.

  9. When all settings required have been changed. Press 'Save New Values' and then 'Close'.
    This will restart the till and log out.


Changing Settings Profile

Swapping between settings profiles is very straight forward and can be done at any point during the trading day.

  1. Log in to the till as a user with permission to access the Supervisor Setup Menu.
  2. Enter your supervisor menu code and press 'Menu'.
  3. Press 'Setup Menu' and head to the second page (Arrow pointing to the right in the top right corner of the page)
  4. Press the button in the bottom right corner of the screen titled 'Profile General'

  5. Choose your profile from the list on screen. The till will then ask if you are sure and tell you that the profile is active.

  6. You can check that a profile is active by logging out of the till. On the loginID screen will be the name of your profile.
